Cross-registration enrollments by University
students are governed by policies that parallel
transfer credit approvals. Students should note
that course credits will be determined by
following equivalencies used in evaluating
transfer credentials. Grades earned in
undergraduate cross-registered courses are not
recorded on the University transcript. The grade
column of the transcript reports only an “S” or
“U”. Since no grades (except “S” or “U”) are
recorded for cross-registration courses, they do
not enter into the calculation of either the term
or cumulative averages printed on the University’s
transcript. On the graduate level grades are
recorded as received from the host institution.
-
Visiting Students
-
Undergraduate or Graduate: Present a completed
Cross-Registration form with required signatures
from the home institution to the Office of the
Registrar, Campus Center B-25. Forms faxed by
your home institution’s Cross Registration officer
will also be accepted.
-
Registrations must be completed by no later than
the “Final Registration Day” as published in the
University Calendar for that semester.
-
Course descriptions and a schedule of classes are available
from the home campus cross-registration
representative and/or the University web pages at
http://www.albany.edu. Course
availability (open seats) may be checked on the
web by using “Schedule of Classes” Search.
-
Classes designated as requiring “permission” are noted as
comments in the Schedule of Classes search results
screen and will need a Permission Number from the
instructor before being registered for the course.
-
Transcripts are sent to the Registrar (or designated
official) at the home institution by the
Registrar’s Office.
-
Laboratory courses, methods and teacher education courses,
upper
division School
of Business courses, as well as others are closed
to cross-registration students. The following

Art Education Masters Degree Program).
