1. Home Students

• Obtain cross-registration forms from Senior Account Clerk, Regional Center. Signatures needed are those of your current Mentor and the Associate Dean/Director. Cross-registration courses should be part of an ELC Learning Contract approved by your mentor.

• Grades or narrative evaluations are accepted.  “D” grades are not accepted.  S/U and P/F are accepted but students are encouraged to request the more specific A,B,C grades or a narrative evaluation.

• Each semester hour is equated to one ESC credit.

• Under certain circumstances specified in the Learning Contract, non-credit courses may receive credit at ESC. Discuss this with your mentor.

2. Visiting Students

• Begin with Associate Dean/Director’s  Office for assignment to an appropriate Mentor and signature on registration forms.

• It is the responsibility of the visiting student to make sure that the study at ESC will fulfill requirements at the home institution.

• Meet with mentor assigned by the Associate Dean/Director to plan a Learning Contract.  Go to Senior Account Clerk, Regional Center to register.

• Transcripts are sent from the Saratoga Coordinating Center, 2 Union Street, Saratoga Springs, New York.

• Most work is tutorial, and although there are no “closed courses” for these types of studies, students cannot be assigned to mentors who already have a waiting list of ESC students.  Distance learning courses and study groups are available and may become full.

• Although ESC transcripts are narrative, visiting students may be assigned an appropriate letter grade if you will need a grade, please inform your Mentor at the beginning of our contract study.

3. General

• Request catalogues and other information from the Office of the Associate Dean/Director.

• Request cross-registration forms from the Senior Account Clerk.

• Request transcripts from the Saratoga Coordinating Center
