  1. Home Students

    • Student must be a currently enrolled full time matriculated student at the home campus.

    • Begin at the Registrar’s Office - Warner Hall 100/101 to obtain form.

    • Signatures required are student’s Advisor, Department Chairperson and Registrar.

    • Cross-registration enrollments are governed by policies that parallel transfer credit approvals.  Students should note that course credits are determined by following equivalencies used in evaluating transfer credentials.  Grades of “S” or “U” are recorded for cross-registration courses.  They do not enter into the calculation of either the term or cumulative averages printed on SUNY Cobleskill transcript.

    • Only 1 course during the Fall semester will be allowed via cross-registration.

  2.  Other Consortium - Visiting Students

    • Begin at the Registrar’s office.  Students must present a completed cross registration form signed by the home school advisor, Department Chairperson and home school Registrar.

    • Students must register in person during the first week of add/drop.

    • Signature of the Home Campus Registrar is required prior to registration.

    • Grades are sent to the Registrar (or designated official) in a letter to the Registrar at the home school.  Grades may be given by telephone at the home school if necessary.

    • Transcripts are not made up for visiting students.

    • NOTE: Independent study and tutorial courses are closed to cross registrants.  Prerequisites for courses must be met where necessary and courses with special permission must be approved prior to registering for such courses.

  3. General

  • Course must be one that is NOT AVAILABLE  to student at home campus. Courses that are Laboratory or practicum courses are closed to cross-registration students.

  • Student is responsible for attendance and academic requirements of course even if home and host calendars do not coincide.

  • Student is responsible for notifying the registrars on BOTH campuses if they withdraw from a course(s).  Failure to do so will result in an “F” grade from the host institution.

  • Signature on the Cross-Registration form indicates student agreement to abide by all regulations imposed by the host institution (parking, attendance, library, etc.)

  • Home campus students have priority for all courses at the College, so popular courses may be closed to cross-registrants because of space limitations.

  • Mini semester, January term, and Summer Session are not covered by cross registration agreements.

  • All fees in excess of tuition are responsibility of the student, i.e. lab fees, computer fees, field trips, etc.
